Winfield is an Australian cigarette brand launched in 1972 by Rothmans and now made by British American Tobacco Australia. It was one of the country's leading brands from the late 1970s to the 2010s. Its television campaign with actor Paul Hogan, launched in July 1972, ended in May 1980, after the industry's advertising standards council found that the actor appealed too strongly to children. In 1976, Winfield also introduced the country's first pack of 25 cigarettes, before packs of 30, 40 and 50 spread. Since July 2025, all cigarettes sold in Australia come in packs of 20.
